Surrey JEC's First Barley Mow Meet

Sun, Apr 1st 2007, 12:00

Our inaugural 1st Sunday of the month meeting at the Barley Mow was a great success, with 20 Jaguars of various types and 40 members and guests turning up.

The writer apologises for not being there to meet and greet those attending but was stuck in Guildford with a flat battery, how embarrassing. However I hope I managed to get round to most of the attendees on my arrival.

The weather turned out favourable for us with the sun shining, so it gave everyone the opportunity to inspect each others pride and joy over a pint (or whichever beverage took your fancy).

Many members decided to stay on and have one of the pub’s Sunday Roasts of either beef, pork, or lamb, as well as a selection from their usual menu. There was a good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant with the usual social banta without being to noisy.

The next Sunday meeting will be on the 6th May, the May Bank Holiday weekend.
