EFFECTIVE PROTECTION FOR YOUR CAR. Easily opened and closed. Folding Garages are also known as Portable Garages or Perambulator Garages.

This folding garage is for cars up to about 16 feet 4 inches in length. (Depending on the shape of the car). Please note that this is a brand new product and will be despatched directly from the manufacturer’s warehouse. The car that you can see in the pictures here is a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, length 16’4” / Width 6’5” / Height 4’0”, this is just about the very biggest car that will fit inside this folding garage. Other large examples of cars that will fit into this are Jaguar XJ6/12 and Mercedes Benz 5 Series. The folding garage has a frame footprint of 7’2” (2180mm) x 18’1” (5510mm), and requires a ground space of 7’8” (2340mm) x 19’ (5790mm). An additional length is needed to allow the frame to lie flat when fully open. Technical Specifications.

THE FRAME:- The tubular part of the frame is constructed with 3/4” square mild steel tube 1/16” thick. Square tube provides a more rigid structure than round tube. The hinge assembly is made with 1/8” thick steel plate. The entire structure is totally galvanised. THE COVERING The covering is a breathable polyester, 250D high strength, woven textile, with a pleasing green colour. Breathability is ensured by an, approximately, 2” gap all round between the hem of the cover and the frame. This gap promotes a good draft at ground level, ensuring the Folding Garage can deal with high humidity weather conditions. These folding garages can be used on all types of surface, grass, gravel or tarmac. If you are going to use your folding garage on a concrete or tarmac surface then it can be held in place with a set of ground fixing bolts. These ground fixing bolts are not included with this auction, there is a seperate auction in my ebay shop which includes the ground fixing bolts. To use the folding garage on a grass or gravel surface we use the weight of the car to hold the garage in place, this is achieved with a set of wheel plates that attach to the metal framework; the car is then parked with the two front wheels sitting on these plates. (as shown in the lower left diagram). These plates are 23 pounds each and two of them are included with this auction.

Remember this folding garage has a set of two wheel plates designed for use on gravel or grass.There are cheaper folding garages on eBay, but if you look at these auctions you will see one or two very poor pictures and very little in the way of a description. There is a good reason for this, they are cheap rubbish. The most important part of any folding garage is the hinge assembly and we guarantee that ours is the toughest and best quality made in the UK. Yes thats right, all of our metal framework is constructed here in the UK where we are in charge of all aspects of quality control.
