Synopsis
The Jaguar XJS was one of the finest grand touring cars of its era even if, when launched in 1975, it raised a few eyebrows. It survived the British
Leyland days, Jaguar’s privatisation and the takeover by Ford, and is now much in demand as an affordable and practical classic car. The summer of 2005
sees the 30th anniversary of the XJS, which is set to be marked by a number of celebratory events This all-colour book, which covers the full road car and
competition history, will fascinate all Jaguar enthusiasts.
Customer Reviews
Very complete and above all,
objective

I purchased this book because I am (was ?) interested in buying an XJS. The author gives a good view on the history of the car’s developpment and then goes
on to look at the strong - and weaker points of the successive generations of the car. I found it very good indeed. It is not often that weaknesses are
*really* objectively covered by enthusiasts.
